Added passing lamps and cured windshield vibration 2 Years, 2 Months ago
Since I have owned my 08 Roadie Silverad I have thought the windshield and mounts have vibrated excessively. Well I installed the Yami light bar yesterday and all the vibration has gone away! The factory turn signal bar mounted under the windshield bracket. The new light bar mounts on top
of the bracket. I had several times checked to see if everything was tight and sure enough it was all secure. Well anyway after I had ridden several miles and noticed the vibration had stopped I was grinning from ear to ear! Just wanted to share this with anyone who thought that their widshield vibrated more than it should.

Glad to hear you cured your vibration. Now for a word of caution/advice. If your Yami Lights start vibrating fix them immediatly. Mine was vibrating a little and I didn't think much of it....well I was going up the freeway the other day and the left side passing lamp just up and falls over! Thank goodness the wires held it on until I could stop and undo the spade connectors to get it home. All 4 rivets had come undone. I reriveted and all is good now, but jeese I think these things could be a little sturdier.

You've got me thinking!!!! I have been wondering about the vibration in my 03 (I've had it about three months, only 2800 miles) with factory windshield. I added a Memphis shade batwing still have vbibration. I have been told these bikes vibrate alot, but now I'm thinking it was the windshields all along. How much should I except as normal for this bike? Mine buzzes you to the point of blurred vision at certian speeds.

You will have vibration to a certain degree. That's just the nature of the bike. My windshield was shaking more than I thought it should. I had also ridden about three or four other Roadies so I pretty much knew that it was a little excessive. If you have a pal that has a Roadie try riding it and compare. Oh and my shaking was coming in a certain engine rpm's. Just thought I would throw that in.

I rode from the Alabama line to Memphis today to the Mid South Bike show. Around 275 miles round trip with the extra riding we done. Gotta say with this 33 tooth front pulley and the passing lamps bar stopping most of the vibration in the windshield I'm lovin this bike. Hard to imagine those 2 bolt ons could make so much difference in a bike!

Also rode by the new Harley dealer in Southaven MS. That place was packed. Don't know if they were making lots of sales but the place sure was busy. Saw a set of spoke wheels on a softail that looked
different and great. The rim was smooth from one side to the other. No ridge on the sides where the tire seats. Looked really smooth. Only saw it on one bike. Don't know if it's something new or mabey a special order but they looked great.
