I went for a nice long ride yesterday and it felt GOOD! At one point I saw a bike in my mirror and I slowed down to let him catch up. He would get close to me, but would never get beside me or pass and I slowed quite a bit. Well after a couple miles of this it was just me and him at a light. You should have seen this guy being all he could be on his brand new Sportster. It looked like he had bought out the entire apparel section at the HD dealer. He looked over at me and at my bike and trying his hardest to be cool said Nice Fatboy. I just chuckled, about that time the light turned green and I left him in the rear view. Dumbass!

I'm not brand bashing, I happen to really like HD's. It was just one of those moments that caught me off guard and hit my funny bone. When I see someone that just doesn't look like he belongs on a bike and then he says that to me...and the way he said it. OK I am going to hell. I am sorry for chuckling.

So, what did he think about your bike...?
I would have told him it was the new Heritage...

It happened so fast he was barely stopped when he said it and the light turned. Oh well, if you can read this Mr. Sportster guy...sorry if I was rude.

How many of you have done this...
I just put the new wheels on last weekend and really didn't have a chance to test ride it after I was done. For the first 30 minutes of my ride yesterday I was going through the checklist in my head of all the bolts. In my head - "Did you remember to tighten the...?" I guess I got it right b/c it ran and handled like a champ! Thank God spring has arrived!!!!!!

Shamrock, have you had a chance to do any two up with your flip and grind? Just wondering about the chance of bottoming out? I have not had a passenger on since I flipped mine so just wondering, I know there has been alot of debate on this back and forth, guess I am just in the mood to stir stuff up tonight??

I went for a short ride right after I did it and it never bottomed out. I remember it was a little cool out and my wife looked at me like I was crazy when I asked her to go for a ride. We only went about 3 or 4 miles so I would not be able to say either way for sure. I haven't had a problem with my 210 pound ass on there. I will let you know as soon as we ride together again. I don't care for a passenger anyway - takes a little of the fun out for me. Especially her wiggly butt!

When I looked at this thread, I was thinking to myself; I sure hope I get to see an image that will burn itself into my brain and spend the rest of my life trying to repress it. I think I threw up in my mouth a little.
