My thoughts are that skydiving is along the same lines as staring down the barrel of a loaded gun and pulling the trigger to test and see if the safety works, just not anything I would want to do......

I did it back in 1977. Probably the biggest adreniline rush possible. Had to step out of the plane and hold onto the wing strut at a few thousnd feet until the jumpmaster told you to go. WOW what a rush!!!!

I have my license. Its no big deal.

In over 3 million jumps worldwide there are less than 35 deaths total. And most of those are competitors that come in hot and do the risky flying.

heres some pics of going through my license training, and one of my first base jumps with my BIL.

My daughter has done it and loved every second of it. When it came time to think of a 34 year wedding anniversary present for my wife (yesterday), my daughters suggested a skydiving adventure for her. We found 1/2 price off through groupon.com and I bought 3 tickets- one each for both daughters, and one for the wife. My sister, age 56 is also going. I'll be the guy on the ground shooting the pictures. If 4 women can do it, I guess it's not that hard.

Out of 10,000 feet of fall, always remember that the last half inch hurts the most.
But I really don't know if I would ever want to do it. Maybe bungee jumping.

I've always wanted to jump, but I asked my knee surgeon and he said if I did he would run me over in his car. So I didn't think it was a good idea.lol

I knew I had good reason to like you, Rich!

As for jumping, I did a tandem jump in New Zealand.. it was incredible. It really is the first initial bail out of the airplane and after that its a lot of wind and checking out the scenery. At least it was for me. I'd definitely do it again.
