I too, out of work 9 mon. But, the bike is 9yrs old, 113k miles, and in this economy I would have to give it away, and how far would that money last if I don't find work? I also use it for daily transport since between insurance and gas it's 1/3 the cost of the car, and it's my stress relief as well. I'm losing my house as well, selling the bike won't save it either. I'd rather ride when I can and have a smile.

Man I hate to hear all of this, selling your bike, being out of work, losing the house... YIKES!
4 years ago I quit my job, and after looking for another for several months, I decided to become my own boss. But how? What would I do? After watching my sisters house for her while she was away on vacation, I thought, WHY NOT? So now I take care of other peoples homes while they are gone. Word spreads and you keep getting new customers.
If anyone is truly interested, contact me, and I can give you some tips on how to make some extra cash, how much is like any other business, it's up to how hard you are willing to work.
