Thanks everyone!! Comps from the likes of you guys, with your awesome bikes, each individualized the way we each like, really means alot to me.

Plans for next year.. I have some ideas, but for now it's time to ride!

The front is not raked, just lowered 2".

As for the bottom line... I'm not sure I really want to think about it.

Wheel - 840
Fender - 320
Tire & mounting - 200
Powder coating pass boards, used fork tins & powder coating, braided SS brake line, fist fulls of new stainless fasteners, paint, ported manifold, ect. - Didn't even keep track...

I'm going to have a buttload of stock parts to unload to help recoop some of the cost.

Thanks again everyone.

Paul

You also forgot to add up all the time you put into this. But like Mr_Shamrock says..... Priceless!!!!!!

ok, now for some brutal honesty. everyone else is being nice not wanting to hurt your feelings. the truth is the bike looks horrible it makes me feel bad that you spent so much time and money on it. Sooo to try and help a star bro I will buy this disaster so you can get started on another one.

Hey Paul,

Just wondering if you have more feedback on the wheel now that you have some riding time in. I think you mentioned that this was the first R* wheel for Thomason. Did they nail the hub/bearings on the first try?

Hey, I'm new here. Heck I'm new to Road Stars, just got one last week. This is by far the best looking one I have ever seen, I'm totally drooling all over myself. I have a couple of questions about the things you have added.

1. What brand/size are those Bags?
2. Where do you find one of those round bars that bolt into the sissy bar support brackets?

I'm ready to start customizing mine, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jon

Yes, he nailed it perfect on the first try. I was a little worried about how the rotor was going to center, but it slipped right into place.

I finally got a chance to try it in the twisties.

The setup like I have it:
Front lowered 2 inches, stock springs cut 1.75 inches
140/70 tire
7 wt oil
Tricky Air shock bumped up to pretty stiff

I have to say I think it handles as well or maybe better than stock (but I did still have the stock Bridgestone on). I did try riding it before I lowered the front and it would take a large parking lot to turn that puppy around! Dropping the front made a huge difference. All in all, I'm really happy with the mod.
