Repair Manuals 7 Years, 3 Months ago
Since moving and having a place to work on my bike. What are the choices in a repair manual? It will be awhile before I tackle any thing major so one that shows the basic maintenace would be ok. I don't like tearing something down unless I am somewhat prepaired.

You can download the service manuals here for free. Do the 1600 service manual and if you have a `1700 download the 1700 supplement too

Jreed:

There's an INDEXED version of 1999-2003 service manual. It's more versatile than the non-indexed version. When you click on table of contents items and index items it takes you directly to the page requested:

The Clymer repair manual is very popular, if you weant a printed version to keep in the workshop. Here's the lowest price:

The Road Star Owners Manual is available for download here (FREE sign-up):

Hey Musky,
I visited this site http://www.paulmilner.com/yamaha/handbuch/handbuch.htm#roadstar to find the owners manual of a yamaha roadstar 1700 series. I was wondering where I could find a printable version of the owners manual or how much I could buy one for.
Thank you,
Randy

randyhahn1,musky doesn't get on here much anymore. If you can find you a Clymer manual for the Roadstar it will get you thru most everything you need.

And the tech articles here will help you alot.

I think you can get one at your Yamaha dealer for about $13,000 and they will toss in a new R* in the deal. and From Wi.
