Can I only run one Throttle cable? 2 Years ago
So here I was getting the other woman ready for the M&G and so I was finally installing my braided clutch and throttle cables. I purchased these from Barons quite a while back but was holding off to install the Big Johnson Bars etc. Imagine my surprise when my +2 cables went to go on and the cables are completely different lengths. So anyway can I run with just the pull and do I need to do anything to beef up the spring etc. etc. etc. If anyone is doing this or has any ideas would greatly appreciate any input
Thanks

One cable is fine shouldn't need to beef up the return spring.

Just the pull cable here, no spring mods needed.

Tanx Guys. I am sure Barons will tell me its my problem since I didn't install em right away but I am probably going to go to the Sterling Chromite stuff eventually so these Barnett cable and Galfer lines will end up on Ebay sooner than later.

It still looks like the day I did it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something different/inexpensive. It is very durable - I scraped against it pretty hard with a ratchet when I was installing my front wheel and it didn't leave a mark. I have another little dirt bike project I am doing and it is getting the same treatment. Good luck!

Guys, I was reading this thread today... and decided I was going to 1 cable.

Didn't take a half an hour to remove the tank and throttle and get the push cable out of there, and put it all back together with only the pull cable.

Looks and works just great! Oh, and I went to the hardware store and got a chrome plug to fill the pull cable hole in the throttle for .89! Sweet!

Been running one for almost a year I have hd grips to match running boards. note of caution. If you have a problem hit the kill switch. THAT will BE all
