anyone with 6* trees? 2 Years ago
I'm toying with the idea of 6* trees and 2" over fork tubes. I've already lowered it 2" in the rear.
can anyone out there tell me how theirs handles with this setup?
by the way this bike will probably never go over 85mph, so any higher speed problems would never show up here.
thanks

I believe this is close to what Doc is running. I'm sure he will see and add to the thread.

I had this set up on my V-star I had. I found it to handle better than it did before. I was still able to corner quite nicely with this way.

Took about 10 minutes to get used to, then it was "true love"...

I have 6 degree trees with 4" over and stock rear ... which works out the same as what you have in mind.

Trail is only a little less that stock so the change is not too noticeable until you try to make tight turn ....

No problems at 85 mph.

What is on your bike? If you have the stock shield & running lights your choices are limited. Rick at Raked Cycles and Barons are two places that come to mind. I found a few others when I was considering that mod, but got rid of the links when I changed my mind.

HEY BLUBEAST,

I HAVE THE BARON'S 6* TRIPLE TREE WITH 4" OVER DOWN TUBES. MY REAR IS LOWERED WITH
THE FLIP ( MAYBE 2 1/4"S). IT HANDLES VERY WELL AT ALL SPEEDS BUT AS DOC SAID IT DOES TAKE MORE ROOM
TO TURN IN A PARKING LOT. THE ONLY TIME I EXPERIENCE ANY SORT OF WOBBLE IS WHEN I'M BEHIND A SEMI
AT HIGHWAY SPEED. IT'S NOT ANYTHING TO MAKE YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND BUT I THOUGHT I SHOULD MENTION IT.
