cleaning spoked wheels 2 Years ago
can anyone out there tell me what to use on a rear spoked wheel to clean the crap off of the center hub..??
I would like to spray the hub with some kind of cleaner but i dont want to harm the aluminum or stain the hub..i cant get my hands in there to clean it so i will use a small electric powerwasher to get the grime off,but i wonder if anyone else has any ideas on how to properly clean the spoked wheels.. ???The rear wheel is the main problem..

I'd like to know too how to clean the spoked wheels. I bought some type of kitchen brush at WM but the darn thing fell apart first time I used it and it didn't work that good anyway. There must be an easy way to do it.

Stick I use the cheap bottle brush from walmart. Never had any problem with it falling apart. It also works great for getting to and cleaning the center hub.

The OEM spokes do not take kindly to a lot of cleaning. The coating on them is very thin and is easily rubbed off.

The more you 'clean' them the faster the become tarnished.

S100 cleaner works great on engine and spoke/hubs and any of that hard to reach stuff. HD dealers usually have it
