Gabriel,

I am really anxious to hear how the bags of tjd customs are holding. Are they robust? I ordered the same products a couple of weeks ago and I received the baddad fender and that is really robust so I dont have any worries about that but I havent received the tjd products yet and I read on different fora that tjd products are a bit thin?? Can you inform me about this?

Your bike looks really nice. I will be doing about the same with a different frontfender,a wrapper and different hinges (also from tjd) I will use my standard bagmounts and customize them a little for more support. Did you also attach the fender to the bagmounts??

I just received my stetched bags from TJD Customs. I had my doubts because they are cheap but the quality is absolutley 100% great. It is not thin fiberglass but reall thick and very sturdy.

Hey Yogi. I went with TopShop bags but what I read on HD forums that TJD's were very good too. Glad you noted the same since you have them in hand now. Congrats.

I am doing a Bad Dad conversion also. My goal also is to add a wrapper front fender as I am also adding a new 21 inch front wheel from Greg @ Thomason Performance. May I ask what wrapper fender you are going with? I've been looking at them from a variety of vendors. A fellow rider referred me to ebay and kcint.com, both with good prices.

This is the fender I use. It is just a mock up so I have to adjust it a bit. I powdercoated my wheels. It is a standard wheel 16 inch but next winter I want a bigger wheel also, but for now I am on budget I will post some more pics when I am done.

Looks really good. Was the wheel powder coat a lot of prep work or just a matter of covering/removing the bearings before hand?

I didnt have to do any preparing. The powdercoater does the sandblasting and covers everything that is not supposed to be coated. Off course you have to take out the( I dont know the english word for it) parts were the little metal bolls are in I think you know what I mean. So I didnt do nothing at all myself in this case.

I have the link tot the fender here for you but I think it is a dutch manufacturer, so it will probably not be very usefull to you. http://br-custom.nl/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=116_292_592_617_622&products_id=25882

Hardone2get got a set of wide stretched bags. Not sure if they were as wide as the 38 caliber but they were wider than spec HD bags and were nice. Here is a pic he posted...sweet!
