Wow, just check the oil like the video says. 30 seconds of running is not long enough to get an accurate reading. I am a little puzzled. You don't know how much oil you put in it? Next time count the empty oil bottles and write the number down. Put it in your wallet. Just put in 4 and forget it until next oil change, unless you leak oil.

Personally..........and everyone gots an opinion ! Again and again........unless you are losing oil as in HD puddles or blue smoke, 4 qts in, 4 qts out ! I just changed mine out TODAY since the last 4 K and never bothered to look at the dipstick inbetween !!!!!!! And when I drained both plugs I got A TUB FULL OF OIL THAT STILL LOOKED GOLD ON MY FINGERS WHEN I FISHED OUT MY DRAIN PLUG ! If your bike is not leaking puddles of oil and blowing blue smoke, 4 qts in will do you justice Don't sweat the small stuff !

These things have a dip stick? Seriously, I never look at it unless I want to see how dirty my oil is. BTW, you can check your oil by the way Yamaha recommends in the video and you will get inconsistent readings on the dip stick sometimes. Just be informed of that so that if it looks low one time and good the next, that is the nature of the beast. Put 4 in and forget it until next oil change, again, unless you are losing oil by leakage or burning.
