can anyone tell me if the plug for the fuel pump should continuously read 12 volts? when i turn the key i get 12 volts for about 3-5 seconds then the voltage goes down to 0. I cant find in the manual if its supposed to be continuous.

I have my tach hooked to that circuit and it works just like yours. It comes on for a few seconds if the key is just turned on, but is continuous if the bike is started.
