THEY WORK !! 1 Year, 11 Months ago
Well about 45 minutes ago I was leaving the house on my bike, it sits on the back patio, so I have to ride about 20 ft. through the grass to get to my front drive. Any way I was coming around the corner of the house into the grass where it was still a little wet from a rain and right at the corner it happened quick, somehow my bike went over with me, luckily the LINBY highway bar saved it and my leg from going all the down. So I guess what I'm saying is CRASH BARS HELP!! i feel stupid

Yeah, 10 minutes ago, I found another use for ape hangers too. For the first time ever, I forgot to put down my stand at the gas pump.

The bike got WAAAAAY down before I realized and pulled it back up with the bars.

Leverage, baby!

At least nobody seen me, I would have hated that being out in public, like at a gas station, that sucked huh? If my bars wouldn't have been there it would have pinned up against the house then I'd of never made to WAL-MART

I'm a member of the ape hanger leverage club too. Mine was coming off the jack though.

I think most everyone here has done it maybe more than once(don't ask)My first one was at Americade at a gas station fueling up. wet tennis shoes do not make for proper footing.Pulled up to stop and thought I had my kickstand down the word being thought. Well as I leaned over I felt the stand fold up but was too far to catch it. She through me off onto my hands and knees in front of every one on the main drag.
To add insult to injury this dude walks up by me and in a low voice says" You know they make kickstands for those things" Well that was #1 and we'll let the others stay where they are. Just don't think you won't ever drop it because sooner or later it will happen.

Stepped my left foot into a shallow hole at a stop sign one day. Did the sideways one legged hop skip and a jump as she fell over. Buddy was a block behind me....When he caught up he jumps off and hollers, "What happened?" My relply: "Wanted to see if I could pick it up by myself, wanna give me a hand here?" Embarrassing
