Hey Guys and Gals. My name is Freddy and I am a retired Police Lt. from NYC. I have been riding for over 40 years and have just recently purchased a 07 Roadstar Silverado. Best bike I have ever owned. All my friends cursed me out for buying a metric, but I wanted a bike that started when I wanted it to. Plus I saved about $12-14,000 for other toys.

As stated in another posting, your road knowledge on roadstars has made my riding life a God sent. I will keep listening to all that wisdom out there. thanks for being there for us newbies with Roadstars. I appreciate
it. I will post pixs of my ride just as soon as I figure how to do it on the forum..

Re:Please introduce yourselves!! - Again 5 Years, 8 Months ago
Ok, I've posed a few questions and offered a few answers too, but I expect a formal intro. would be a good thing.

I'm Mark, I live in a suburb of Atlanta called Dunwoody. I'm a grandfather of two sweet little girls and a father of two boys. One all grown up (father of the girls) one who is 2. I thought I'd get the first one all done before starting with the second one.

I worked for Georgia-Pacific for longer than I wanted, then started a new career in the IT field. After 6 years of that I've decided to retire and be a stay at home Dad for our 2 year old.

Long ago I rode Honda bikes, but strayed from riding until recently. My new toy is a '04 Midnight Star that I bought from a policeman in Gastonia, NC. He must have worked like a dog because in the 3 years he owned it he put just 1300 miles on the bike. I must be living right because he sold it to me well under it's value. The thing looked pretty near showroom clean: Not a scratch or bump anywhere.

I've done a few things to it since pulling it home on a trailor. Put in a headlight modulator, flashing tail light module and a couple of non-Yammy approved passing lights that are amber in color. Might do some other things later, but at this point in time I'm happy with what I have to the point that I'm smiling even when I sleep.

Guess that's it...Glad to be here and hope to learn a little every day.

Take care all,

M7
