#289059 Turk182 (User) Fresh Boarder Posts: 7 Starting Troubles 1 Year, 11 Months ago   Long story short when I go to start my bike I turn the key let the odometer dial and gas gauge cycle then hit the starter. Bike barely does a crank then my led display goes out clock resets to 1:00 dials again cycle hit starter again and she fires up no problem. I can ride the bike all day then. This is a less than one year old battery in the bike. I replaced it last year when this first occured. Ran the bike with the new battery last year and first few months of the riding season with no problems starting until now. My Roadstar is a 2005 with only 4300 miles on it. Any help is appreciated. The cables ohm out fine however under load or when trying to start it would arc to chassis. The only other question I have is could it possibly be my HC solenoid? I had heard if that is going bad it will not open the valves properly and not allow the bike to fully crank either.
