I would use the spiral wound wires and get the best of both worlds. RFI suppression and less loss on the wire. You have to have some resistance on the discharge side of the coil or you will not develop the voltage necessary to get your hot fire spark. The gap in the spark plug is a large resistance and serves that purpose well.

Great suggestion,i use them on all the street perf motors i work on ,very good low resistance alt to solid copper core.

The spiral cores wires are perfect for this application ,you order a set of pertronics spiral core wries from summit and cut to fit R* . But they will cost more then crappy supression core wires or the better solid core wires as seen on MaxAir website for $20 for the dyna coils.

Ok so I got the suppressor core wires from maxair. Do I reuse the stock wire caps or do I just leave the caps that come on the wires?

With true suppression core plug wires you dont need to re-use the stock yami suppressor caps.

But if your running non supression copper core plug wires that's when you need to re-use/attach the stock yami resistor spark plug caps to the copper core non supression core plug wires to avoid any interfearance with the onboard ECU.

Hi coot53, ECU = electronic control unit = ign-computer & no you can't throw it overboard/LOL!!!!!!

The ECU/ign box controls the ign , timing, etc on your R*.
