I have had the Silverstar HTS4 installed for almost 3 years now and all good. I have them in the head light and in the passing lamps. HUGE difference compared to stock hallogen bulbs.

Automotive bulbs burn out quick because they are not vibration resistant. Some bikes don't have the problem because they for some reason don't have vibes that others are prone to. The PIAA bulbs are made for bikes and are vibration resistant. I have PIAA Super Plasma bulbs in my headlight and in the passing lights, and I haven't seen anything better!

I installed an APC Plasma Ultra-White 9003 (H-4) bulb 60/55watt 4 years ago and it's still going strong.

I'm running the silverstar as well. It's been in for about 3 years and I run the light on high beam 100% of the time and there's a modulator circuit attached. It's still burning bright as ever.

Is this the Super Plasma you have? I've been thinking about getting the one at the bottom of the page. Do you like it? why the change?

I have the Xtreme White Plus. It seems the Super Plasma is the brighter of the two. I am night blind and need all the help I can get.
also thinking of going with the Super Plasma H3 in my passing lamps they are rated at 5000k also. Looking forward to your test to see if the Silverstars are brighter.

I put in a true HID kit that burns at 6500K as well as two ultra bright triple one watt led bulbs in my kuryakayn light bar....They are super bright and such a bright white that they grab attention too...Other bikes I ride with comment on how far my lighting seems to go...

I had the super plasma in my bike..until now.I just installed the silverstar ultra and the difference is remarkable. The light is much wider on the road,it is more natural in "color"..the plasma light was harsh and mine was shaking on the road..probably on its way out anyway. The low beam on the ultra has a nice wide sweep of the road and the high beam works just as well..if it does not burn out fast it will be well worth the $50.00 for our 2 road*s.. btw,the insects show up really well around here at night..
