had a dayco ( ) panther on for the last 20,000

nice belt, quiet running, no adjustment needed to date despite thrashing it.

Here's a little panther belt story. I was with some friends at the motor company shop one day and the mechanic there was eyeballing the Roadie. He badmouthed my panther belt I had just installed, said that the teeth were weak and would pull off if I got on it very much. Said he'd never run one on his bike. Well that was 20K ago, and we go to that shop quite often on our rides. I intentionally give her all she's got leaving out just to prove the panther is up to it. So, long story short, the panther is a good quite belt that will take what you can throw at it.

I think I will try that belt next time as my original Yamaha stock belt lasted 34000klm before it broke last year and the last stock belt lasted 21000klm. Needed belt right away so had to go stock as shops had NO alternate belt here in Canada. Finally had to replace both pulleys as they were worn on front pulley which with two shops putting belts on too tight wore down front pulley. Cost of stock belt was $375can and pulleys were front $145can and back was $500can labor was $500can(but got new one from U.S. on e-bay for $220can.) Never beat on bike! Seems all deals are in U.S. but shipping kills!Hopefully this belt outlasts last two or wife will get me to sell and go back to shaft drive Venture.Next time will change myself as dealers charge from $80 to $95can.
