saddlebag guards 1 Year, 9 Months ago  
this has probably been covered...... but i have to tell ya , i love my new roadstar! feels, rides,and looks great! ive been searching the set for hard bag guards. do any of you guys have a preferred mfg for these? good/bad expriences with buying,installing them? help in finding some would be appreciated, my wife calls me cheap, i prefer to think thrifty! thanks for the guidence
my pants now fit tighter that i have a roadstar, is this just me?

You can resize them in Windows paint just keep sizing it down until you get it below 50K.

Yamaha makes them. Easy bolt on, no muss, no fuss. Look great, fit great. Don't have to cut, weld, cuss, throw stuff, etc..... to make them fit. If I can put them on, YOU can put them on! They ONLY problemi had putting them on was one bolt that went thru the saddlebag mount and into the fender. It was kind tough to get lined up, but once it did, not a problem.

Cheap?!? Not on your life! I think mine cost close to $400 for the set. They are 2 piece, so you can buy just the front hoop, or the whole shooting match. If I remember correctly, the bag guards were $225 and the trim rails were $185. ( Do a search on here, I posted a bunch of pictures when I put them on my 06 Silverado.

Where to find them? Call your local Yamaha dealer. I'm sure he can help you......

Mine are Yamaha pieces that I got in the classifieds section on this site. They were an easy install! (See my pic below)
