Thanks for noticing the new paint! vwgulfguy...just make sure you get the right ones. If you have the "tour classic" brackets and saddlebags, the guards for them are all over E-bay for $89 and up. (I have a new set I'll sell for $60 plus shipping - I too bought the wrong ones first!) The guards for the silverado leather bags and factory hard bags are different as they have a built in clamp to attach to the lower arm of the bracket. I just looked at Ebay, and there were non listed.

I lucked out when I did my RY* bag conversion seller also had OEM saddlebag gaurds for the same year
