Windshield or apes,,,,or both 1 Year, 9 Months ago
reading all the threads, looking at all the pics, I'm ready to pull the trigger on a set of apes (size still to be determined, have clifford getting me pirces) however, 98% of all the pics of all the beautiful R*'s with apes seem to not have a windshield. Did you guys leave off the windshield for picture taking, or do you just simply don't ride with one? I'm a wuss on road trips over 100 miles with out my windshield now, does it not fit with apes? cabel issue? or just a matter of looking cosmetically correct? Really wanting to do this before the fall meet&greet in eureka next month.

Thanks,

Hammersly, I put apes on mine, right after I sold you the risers. They are 16" Burley (I think that's right name)bars. I kept my windshield on and in my opinion they look good. I just haven't posted a picture, because I am lazy during this hot weather. If you want a picture let me know and I will email one to you. I think I still have your email address. I would suggest that you shrink wrap the wires that go thru the handlebars. I found some shrink wrap online in four foot sections. It made it much easier to get the bundle thru the handlebars.

Have 16's sitting here, but I'm going beach bar next. Just can't make up my mind.
