I've had Markel American on my Honda for a few years. The rates are cheap, but I've never had to file a claim, so I don't know how that is. I just put the basic PL/PD on my R* and it was only about $80 for the year. Once I sell my Honda, I'll bump up the coverage with some collision, etc.

I'll have to check on the DairyLand insurance. I've seen it mentioned on a few occasions, always with positive comments.

I have had Progressive for 6 years, and I did have a claim. I called them about 2:00PM and they had a wrecker at my house before dark to pick it up and take to a repair shop I had chosen. Excellent service. And BTW I sold Progressive insurance when I lived in Texas. Their claim service was always excellent as long as someone wasn't trying to cheat them. Also have my 4 wheeler and motorhome insured by them. Did get an email just recently about some bad political views by their owner. Have not had a chance to check it out further. In the meantime, I am 100% Progresive.

Just got my renewal bill, dropped 25% from last year. 2006 Road Star with high liabiliity limits and $250 deductible cost just under $200 at renewal.
