Seems we have another change ......seems the oil check can only be done at night on the full moon .....you have to be swinging a dead chicken over your head while chanting ......AT LEAST IT DONT LEAK LIKE A HARLEY... .....Coug

Dont be silly it doesnt matter which direction..... but you gotta dip your chicken in yama lube.. ..and Yami is selling non slip grips for the chickens and they are providing the chickens of course ...for only 19.95...29.95 grips included .....if you are still under warranty. ....Coug

Well that won't work then. I run synthetic oil. Different reading on the stick. Thanks anyway man.

Well the whole dam oil thing is ridiculouse.....I am getting to the point where I dont know if I should scratch my watch or wind my butt..I do know I should ride around 15 minutes before I decide. ..Coug

BUT...you also need to check the oil level before you ride those 15 minutes. Do you suppose Yamaha meant you should ride someone else's bike for those 15 minutes? Or just Be the bike and visualize a 15 minute ride?

Well I guess you could do that .....but you would have to do mods on the bucket ...maybe cut a hole in opposing sides with your zawsaw and add a rope as I am sure if some of the chicken falls out you would get an inaccurate reading thus knullifying your warranty..........Coug <br><br>Post edited by: Cougar, at: 2007/07/05 17:00

What kind of jetting would you be running on the bucket method, as it could affect the exact outcome of the oil level, depending ofcourse on wheather or not your at or above sealevel, Right?
