SMITTEN 6 Years, 7 Months ago
There must be others out there like this. I find myself going out to the garage to just sit and stare at the Road* Midnight I bought this year. If it needs cleaning and polishing, I get to run my hands over her chrome and curves. So far I've stage oned the stock pipes and removed the ais, put on a windshield, and mounted the big engine guard. When I'm out in the garage it's all I can do to keep from firing the baby up just to hear her roar. My wife brought a blanket and my pillow out to the garage for me. Ya, she can be a wise ass sometimes but hey, she was okay with me buying the bike. Could she be getting jealous? Naaaaa . Well I think this streak of nasty non riding weather must be getting to me. After having four straight months of gorgeous riding conditions I guess I've gotten spoiled.
Ride safe everyone.

There are others.

Better get a heater in the garage for the cold winter months. It will allow you to stay in the garage longer.

I remember when I first brought the bike home, felt the same way and I still occasionally find myself staring at the bikes nice lines. Just moved from Wyoming to So. Florida and the weather is nice to ride in. Very hot & humid with some possibilities of rain, but as the winter months progress here it will be even better, no rain and no humidity. I feel for ya'll my northern Bro's but what can I say, I gots to go ride...

There is no doubt the R* has beautiful lines. It is arguably the best looking bike of it's type. Naaaa, it is the best looking bike of it's type!.

That's right Big Al, rub it in. I know all about the warm sunshine and year round riding conditions of south Florida. My 76 year old father lives in Naples and bought an 05 Road* Silverado back in June too. I have more miles on mine right now but he keeps reminding me that while mine is hiding from the snow this winter, his will be cruising in the sunshine. Well they say that the sun will be coming out this weekend here in southern New England and the trees are turning their fall colors so I will get to pad my lead on him a little more.

This is the BEST time of year here in the Rockies. Just did a ride on the Peak to Peak Highway today. Temp about 70 degrees, the leaves are changing, the peaks are snow capped, the bike was a dream, I'm up at about 9000ft, the whole thing was a little surreal. Soon it will be over and I will be reduced to very part time riding due to weather and shining the bike in the garage.

You bet!
The warm days are gone for this year up here. The Okanagan Valley, British Columbia. I hope to get in a few more short weekend rides before the insurance expires next month. After that...same story - a lot of cleaning, polishing and staring at my '05. I find it very easy on the eyes.

Regards
Rick

Just think of it! Can't ride but 2 or 3 months! Time to Install new parts. Polish parts, tighten bolts change things! Oh! the fun I look forward to! Right now I can't fix anything that might require not riding. My new paint job has a chip I'll have to repair! hmmm maybe add some ghost flames or airbrush work....
