This thread discusses the Content article: Adjusting Your Clutch Cable

My clutch free play is about 10mm at specs. After I ride the bike for awhile say 15 miles the free is more like 20mm is this normal? It returns to 10mm after the bike cools.

Take the bike for a 15 mile ride and then adjust your freeplay while it's good and hot. See if that helps
