Ripped off--Misrepresentation--Fraud 1 Year, 3 Months ago
For the past few weeks, there have been several posts about a certain member/vendor, making promises of delivering merchandise but hasn't.

Several of us have been ripped off by this member/vendor.

Several folks here have paid for merchandise and have been waiting for months for the delivery of such merchandise.

Such ones have asked for advice as to how this should be addressed.

You have the right to file a complaint with the Attorney General for the State of Florida.

Here is a link to the online complaint form: http://myfloridalegal.com/Contact.nsf/Contact?OpenForm&Section=Economic_Crimes
If the link doesn't work, you can access it by the following:
The A.G.'s website is: myfloridalegal.com
Go to Consumer Protection
Go to File A Complaint
Go to Consumer Complaint Form
Go to Online Complaint Form

I'm not posting this to start a flame war. Personally, if you weren't ripped off by this vendor, you really should have nothing to say about this posting. I have had serveral, recent converations with this vendor regarding my product and returning my money--nothing has been done. These are difficult economic times and my money means a lot to me.

Thanks for the post, and restraint kryinggame.

If you feel it is appropriate, I would invite you to share the vendors name, although I think the majority of us know who you are talking about.

To everyone else, we have locked this thread to keep it very clean. Please send me the stuff below via PM and I will add it to this thread:

1) order date
2) amount paid
3) merchandise ordered
4) any promises not fulfilled
5) any general notes you think are relevant

PLEASE do not demean this vendor. That just leads to emotional reactions from other members of the forum, both those who agree with you and those who do not.

Just state the facts.

We have VERY limited recourse at the clinic, and can do nothing to assist you, but would like to have a master list of outstanding transactions for reference. If we choose to suspend his vendor privileges here, we want something we can go back to for reference should he choose to apply for vendor privileges again. Something we can use to verify that he has been able to clear things up.

so if you have talked to him recently, what did he have to say for himself and the situation? I noticed that he's logged onto the forums right now, but hasn't tried to explain himself or the situation...

1) order date: 12/16/10
2) amount paid: 353.00
3) merchandise ordered: 16" apes and stainless cables
4) hasn't made contact at all about the order
5) I have PM'd him here several times (they're still "un-read"and left numerous messages on his cell phone and work phone and haven't heard anything back

I spoke to Clifford of Quality Motorcycle Repair a couple of times. From what I can determine, he charged my credit card $401.00 several weeks ago and there's no evidence that the order was placed. We spoke last week and I demanded that he cancel the order and refund the funds back to my card. He assured me that he would. That was a week ago. How long does it take to put funds back onto a card? According to my credit card company, immediately.

I'm not going to blast the guy. He told me that he lost both of his parents recently. I can't imagine how horrible that is but if he was unable to fulfill orders, then he should not have taken our money. He did tell me that he owes a lot of folks merchandise. This is not about the brotherhood of bikers but fraud, misrepresentation and thivery. The only recourse that I can see is filing a complaint with the Attorney General's office. If even real complaints comes in, they will investigate this guy. It's not for us to sit around and wonder what's going on with him--this is illegal conduct.

Order date:12/30/10
Ordered: 16" Burly bars, SS cables, brake hose.
Amount: 362.00. Cleared my bank on 1/3/11
He said parts would be ordered and once ready to ship he would let me know my shipping costs and charge my card again for that amount.
About a week later I got a credit card receipt for $362 with a thank you card in the mail. No communication after that. Multiple voice messages, emails, forum posts and pm's via the RSC were sent with no response.
I have since received a provisional chargeback from my bank for the $362 and have had to cancel and replace my debit card.

I ordered and paid 130.00 for a cable set on nov.9 2010 and waited a month before contacting him . All attempts to communicate with him have been futile . I have since cancelled my order and asked for my money to be returned but I know that isn't going to happen.

My 2 cents, I work in law enforcement and not only should you contact your Atty gen. but you should also contact your local police dept and make a report. A lot of credit card companys won't do anything for you unless it's been reported to the police. It appears the money amount taken and the products never shipped could result in felony charges against the vender. Don't forget the postal inspector, might also be mial fraud.

Lawman.
