SoCal Riders- Big sur PCH - Date still open 1 Year, 2 Months ago
When my father died, I Jumped on my bike and made my way up the PCH to Half Moon bay. A fiend and I decided we would do this trip again in April when the weather was nicer (I went in late November) and when i did not have my fathers death on my mind. Would you believe that last weeks MRI of my back showed that they would have to dig in there. I had the first prep epidural today and will have two more procedures one week apart in April, so our trip has been postponed. We chatted about it and i though that if we planned it for June or may that we might be able to get some RSC members to join us.

We are thinking of hitting the PCH just north of LA and driving it as far north as we could given the many breaks i am sure we will want to take. Our plan is to leave on a Thursday afternoon and arrive back home for Monday afternoon. Anybody interested is more then welcome to come. Once I know how many we might be and what sites folks would want to see, I would set up a conference bridge to start the planing.

Put me on your list Paul. Don't if I can make it yet, but I really want to. And I am going to need an extended break by then.

Thanks,

Depends on the date and my schedule, but I would be interested in joining you for a short distance. Maybe join you in Morro Bay and ride up to Monterey (apx 150 miles).

Cool

Mountaincruiser is usually up for it if he has time to plan. We just need 5 to 10 folks to make it a really good ride.

Last time we all crammed into a condo at night and it worked out pretty well. My brother and I will tent camp when we are "getting lost" so whatever works out. I'm good with sleeping on a bed too

Hopefully I can get my brother to join us. That would be five if Mountaincruiser joins us.

I'd like to join in on this, but I'll have to ride down to LA to start since I'm already in Northern California. I just need to know when it might happen.

This is all good. The when will have to be based on the availability of everyone, so that we will try and hammer out on the conf cal i will set up. I found two nice little cabin last time for about 35 a night and depending on my back, i don't mind sleeping under the star cuddling up with my 12 gauge (warm barrels of course)

So, throw out some time that might work and we can start narrowing weekends that are completely no doable

That would be the perfect size ride for those roads. Lets make it happen like we did the Big bear trip as we have the time to plan.
