Either Gladstones or Somewhere in Santa Monica sounds good to me. I like the riding in that area! Is anybody against solidifying Memorial Day weekend? Locking this down would help me with being able to set a couple of other things on my calendar. If not, I'll hold out on the other stuff for awhile. This trip definitely takes priority!

Hey Adam,

That date still works for me, so lets lock it in and see who decides to join us. I can meet you somewhere in Riverside and ride in with you. Also, if we get home too late you can always crash at my house on the way home.

I've done this ride a ton of times...warning, memorial Day is a terrible time to do it. No room at the inn any where and way too many cagers.
One time I did it on a Honda 450...Bay Area to LA, up the coast and back to LA....all in 4 days. young and dumb eh?

Gram - We can definitely meet up and ride in together. Also really appreciate your offer to crash at your house on the way home. Depending on what time we end up back down in the area, I just may take you up on that!

Paul (Dragoon) - So it looks like Memorial Day weekend it is. Can we get your official stamp of approval on that? Don't want to step on any toes here. This is your trip after all.

Thanks,
Adam

Just got an email from Paul (Dragoon). He is still having some issues with his back, and is going to have a couple more procedures over the next two weeks. He would still like to do the trip over Memorial Day weekend assuming that he feels good enough to ride that kind of distance by then. So, I'm going to go ahead and say that we are moving forward with those dates (May 26 - 30, 2011) for now. If it turns out that we need to push the trip back a little, we can revisit other dates then. Paul, I'll be sure to say an extra prayer for you and a speedy recovery!

Just wanted to check in and see where everybody is at with this. I talked with Dragoon, and he wont be able to ride yet, so he is out. I've also just been offered a side job that I really should take, but would preclude me from making the trip as well. I wanted to check in and see where you guys are at before giving them an answer on the job though.

Paul (Dragoon) and I talked last night, and we would like to postpone the ride until he is able to ride again. So I'm going to go ahead and take the job and then hopefully we can start up another discussion about other possible dates here shortly.
