big dude? pish posh, lol. im 6 ft 6 in, 400 lbs. i put kuryakyn flame style floorboards on my 05R*, and now theres plenty of room for my size 15's. they are oversized boards, and are not compatable with lindby bar, but ive been told all other bars will be ok.

These R*'s sure do a good job of hauling us heavyweights around.

Do the highway bars still fit? Have the extensions and love them, thinking of adding highway bars.

I have the 3 1/2" extensions, and yes, the Yamaha big bar fits fine. I don't think I could have one of those "Dessert Dawg" bar chaps things because the master cylinder for the rear brake is too close to the bar now, but I love being able to ride more comfortably with the extensions.

I put Yami big bars and they fit just fine. They kinda angle forward which allows the extensions to fit. I had another highway bar that was straight, the yami bars look way better.

Re:Floorboard extensions 10 Months, 2 Weeks ago
ok I got to put on a few miles last nite, and this is what I found about the extenions.
I'm glad I never cut off the heal shifter. My anckle just dosnt like to bend up far enough to up shift with my foot at that angle.( just have to get use to it) and i do scrape my floorboards a littel more, I havent done that sense I put the progresive springs in.
I also noticed some lower back pain, but I'm not sure if that was just my bad back or the new sitting position. That I will have to figure out befor the trip to Maine, It would make it a LONG ride.
