I am thinking about doing this, did you get a PCIII ? and if not, what kind of gas mileage are you getting?I have the PCIIIEX and usually get 40+ mpg. (If I don't ride too aggressively.) The PCIIIEX won't allow you to change the settings below a certain throttle setting and rpm range. It still runs closed loop and your mixture is still corrected by the computer.(You must use the O2 sensors) Some people don't like them but I think that's because they weren't properly installed or setup.

Ok after a few runs with the stage 3 exhaust drill the engine was definately running hot and had to re-jet, Actually ended up with Cobra speedster longs, hypercharger pro, and re-jet, the bike sounds very close to a harley at idle and like a top fuel dragster at highway speed with a nice rumble when you let off the gas. Just gotta love it...

Go to Home Depot, they have a dremel "Cut off" wheel & mandrel, get a couple of them, put the bike up on a jack, and get comfy, it takes a while, but be patient, it will come off. Cut it at the inner pipe, and it will pull out with a needle nose pliers.

Black Max,
Don't know how much money you want to put into this, but I didn't want to buy 5 tools just to burn them up on the weld.. It works fine if you just use a 3/8 or 1/4 drill bit to drill all the way around the weld and through the cone... essentially most of the "weld" is still there once the cone is out, but it doesn't matter. I used a chisel on the big part of the weld after it was all done, but you don't even need to do that..
Just a thought..

FYI I didn't even take the cone out. Just drilled through the cone and the first baffle. It is a pain though because the cone is very hard.
