Kicker 5250's & Alpine KTP-445 Amp For My Upgrade 1 Year, 1 Month ago
I purchased new speakers for my Deluxe's fairing and I was looking for the perfect small amp.
I have already replaced the stock speakers with a set of Kicker 5250's but the factory set up only puts out 20 watts per speaker.
The 5250's need power to really get the kind of sound that these speakers can produce. They can handle 135 peak watts at 4 oms.
After doing a lot of research I ended up buying a Alpine KTP-445. Puts out 180 watts and will run four of these kickers like the way they should be run.
I have a set of Rocksford Fosegate 6-1/2"s power series speakers I'm going to run in my bikes hardbags. The sound will be killer for sure. The dims of this unit were small enough to fit right inside the fairing without it being seen. Wiring up this alpine amp was a real bit-h but it was well worth the hassle. Here is a picture of my 5250 Kicker speakers and the new Alpine amp.

The Kicker 5250's are currently on sale at Best But for only $ 65.00.
Of corse I purchased them when they were $ 90.00 but that's ok because they are worth every penny.
The Alpine amp was $ 120.00

Nice set-up. BTW saw the kickers on Amazon for 50. I'm using the polk audio, much better than what I had before, and can't remember what I had before. lol Using a Jensen Marine think it's the 7007, nice unit, whats keen, no battery connection to retain memory. I thought about adding an amp, but concerned about amp usage on the Roadie, though I have the up graded charge sys.

But curious though, what is the Strats charge system rated at?

Nice setup...I'm not a Star owner, rather a Road Glide Custom. I run the 445 myself in my ride....4 Alpine SPS-600's, 2 Polk Audio DB-691's off an Alpine CDA-105 deck and iPod. I install as well...Here's what they all sound like with just the 1 445 installed.....
