I'm sure these seats are great, but I honestly thought this was a thread about getting E.D. from years of too much seat vibration transfer or something. I'm not trying to be insulting, but have you considered making the name something else? 10 years ago, I wouldn't have blinked at the name.

Who knows? Maybe association with anything helps retain products in potential purchasers minds..... maybe it's a good thing. I know for a fact that I won't forget E.D. Seats.

I'd have a problem resting my junk on a product that starts with "E.D.".

I ended up going by his shop that day and he wasnt there...met his father instead...super nice guy.
I ended up meeting with George last week and he will be making me a custom seat-ready for a trial fit this week.
The seats he had in stock seemed very well built and finished beautifully.
I honestly think he's going to do very well with his product in time.

So over the last couple weeks (all delayed because of my availability)- George has been custom fabbing a one off solo seat with backrest for me...I must say he takes a very concerned approach to ensuring he's doing the right thing. I am impressed with his patience and entusiasm and I am 100% convinced I will be happy with the final result.

My biggest problem is finding the time to get on the bike to feel the new seat under me before he makes the next modification...its prime season in my line of work and whenever i do get a day off its because of rain.

I am making a point to see him again this week so he can make the final adjustments and with fingers crossed the new seat will be ready next week.

I will keep you all posted.

I will also say that if you were interested in a new bike seat...his are the real deal (construction, fit and finish are second to none!!)

Are there any reviews from our forum as of yet on these?

I have read that several were here purchasing seats.

I would like to get a saddle with a backrest for my new Stratoliner. Does E.D. make them, and if so are there pics?
