Re:Passing Lamp Out 6 Years, 6 Months ago
Twisting bulbs. Broken wires. Yes, I have had them!

Last night, I opened the housing and took a closer look at the wiring. Turns out the wire coming from the bulb had almost broke loose. A little wiggle and the wire was history.

Fortunately, I had a spare bulb. A month ago, the same passing lamp had gone out. I picked up a bulb only to find out one of the wires at the switch on the housing had broken off. Fixed that and kept the bulb. Lucky decision. (I don't make smart decisions!)

Driving to Lowes to locate dilectric (sp?) grease, my tail light went out! Found one of the wires under the seat had worked loose. (I had added a harness earlier in the year to make my turn signals running lights. Apparently didn't crimp the wire in completely.) Fixed that last night. Life is good until the next traumatic event!
