How to remove overspray 12 Months ago
I washed my bike yesterday and discovered that sometime recently while in to one of my projects, I inadvertently covered my bike with overspray. I generally paint outside but I must have left the garage door open (probably even had the shop fan on ). Well this caused me to explore all the options from Neverdull on the chrome to different thinners to cleaner wax and other stuff I'm to embarassed to mention.

I thought I would share real quickly what worked incredibly well, was fast, easy, and safe for chrome as well as paint. Detailing clay was my solution and fellas it worked briliantly! As a matter of fact the bike looks better than it did the last time I waxed and shined.

This overspray is probably clear coat with hardener and several weeks old so it wasn't soft fresh rattle paint.

I hope this saves someone troubles

Cheers

Autozone sells it. I keep some in my shop. It works great on all sorts of stuff like tree sap tar . It really cleans the paint. Need to wax after use though. When finished with it wrap in foil and put in zip lock bag. Will last for ever.

Yep, any auto store has the clay, it usually comes in a kit that has a "lube" like mild soapy water it seems. Alot of kits have wax too, I hit it with cleaner wax after the rub down.

E_Man - these are 12" bars with 4" risers, totals 16" but I can't stand the risers with high bars, it looks goofy and the line is all wrong because the riser has a 1" pull back. I am about to put the stock risers on w/ a 16" bar. Sixteen seems to be the norm here for those that like comfort over the super high bar look.
