All my carburator is original and I just can't reach faster then 160 - 170 km/h.....

So....... about you people!!! HOW FAST IS your ROADSTAR and what did you do to get faster then 160 -170 km/h.

I don't want to have a racer bike but I know my bike isn't tuned okay!!!!!!!!!!

By the way...mine is a 1600cc , 1999 with full chrome

Very curious about your answer .....

See ya

I have had mine up to 105mph. '04 Silverado with pipes, ignition, airkit, rejetted, ais removed. Still had power to go more, but not enough balls (or money to pay the ticket) to keep pushing it there.

Both you guys have more balls than me.

I've gone fast in cars but only up to just over 140 km/h on the R* and I don't intend on going any faster.

And ditto widtrack ..... I can't afford the points on the license .... then the insurance skyrockets.

I only did it once. Just had to see what it would do. Obviously, it will do more than I will. LOL

I usually cruise between 60 and 70mph, depending on where I am. I didn't want a crotch rocket, so why pretend to be on one, right?

Like Crash, I've been up to 105 mph (two up, windshield and bags) with a little more to go. Aftermarket air, jets, pipes, etc. Lucky enough to not be clocked and don't intend to do it again.

I have an 04 with aftermarket breather, jet kit, and HK 2.75 straights. I let off at around 113 MPH. Still was pulling hard.

Hi guys,

I was asking this question because I had a 750cc kawasaki spectre and this 750cc could reach 125 mph ...
Regarding 750cc and the 1600cc (2 times the 750cc) I tought I could reach faster but.....

More I read about Roadstar and more I 'm sure of this.....

Changing air kit for something BETTER would do a BIG difference....

Nice bike we have

The thing is, we have a 'torque monster' motor, not a high-reving horsepower fiend. The difference is like the difference between a big 18-wheel truck and a sports car; the sports car will go faster but the truck will haul a lot more. The truck has a bigger more powerful engine but the sports car will go faster, just like the 750 Kaw.

I had mine to 113 mph but got off it there. It was still climbing. I have the 04 ,1700 with pipes, jet kit and hypercharger.

I've had mine up to 117, I have a windshield, bags, Nemesis intake, Kury TV air cleaner, Nasty Habit pipes, and did this two up. I hadn't hit the rev limiter yet, but I think I MIGHT have gotten 120 out of it. It was still pulling.. I would like to try it with a dyna 2000 or 3000 on it to get some extra rpms, and less the windshield, bags, and wife..

My last bike I had was a Suzuki Madura, and I had it up to 140 once.. and I could tell I still had a bit left.. maybe 160.. but that was a completely different kind of bike and engine. I am more than happy with what I can get out of this.. because I almost never do those things.. not worth getting caught.. You also have to remember, most our speedo's are off.. so no telling how fast I was really going.. but I'd say it was close.. as close to stock as yours is.. you aren't doing too bad.. the rev limiter will keep your speeds down..
