Service manual for a 2007 4 Years, 8 Months ago
Guys, I've been looking, looking, looking for an "inexpensive" (did I hear someone say cheap?) service manual for my 2007. I've read the past posts about the Clymer manuals (they are good), but they only go up to 2005. I've checked the links to the free downloads, but some stop at 2004. I even bought a CD on Ebay for $10 with the XV17 supplements included, but again it only goes up to 2005 (the CD was advertised for the 2007).

Does anyone know if there's any significant difference between the 2005 and 2007 Roadie, or will the Clymer 1999-2005 manual be good enough?

The 2005 and 2007 are the same. Get one, they're handy to have and a smidgen easier to understand then the shop manual. Shop around, I think I got mine here http://www.repairmanual.com/ for about $24.

And please don't spend $10 for a CD of the manual on Ebay, I can burn anyone one for free. Sheesh, the guy spends about $0.10 on a blank CD and profits $9.90. I hope he didn't charge you shipping too. <br><br>Post edited by: RoadieFF, at: 2007/09/05 05:39

Heh, the $10 included shipping. I figured it wasn't much to spend, but it would have been better to spend it towards a Clymer. Looks like the Clymer is the better choice. I had figured there probably weren't any differences between those years, but I wanted to check first. Thanks RoadieFF.<br><br>Post edited by: papatom, at: 2007/09/05 08:21

Try this site for a download of the 1700 supplement

http://www.paulmilner.com/yamaha/handbuch/04_supplement.pdf

There is also a link from the clinic to his site

http://roadstarclinic.com/component/option,com_weblinks/catid,168/Itemid,4/

He also has the 1600 manual as well as an indexed version posted.

Don't try to print it out on a home printer, you'll go through sevearl ink cartridges.

I did my hard copy at work on a BIG commercial machine and it still took a while to print out. I think with all the supplements it was about 500 pages or so.

I'm with ya. My intent was to just print pages that related to whatever I was going to work on. Not that I'm a major mechanic, but I like to &quot;tinker&quot; (hopefully without breaking anything major).
