Stage IV, is it worth it 4 Years, 8 Months ago
I have a 06 midnite silverado and I am thinking about getting hc pistons, 45mm carb, dyna 3000, comp clutch, comp dual valve spring set, BAK,high flow intake manifold. I would like to get more power out of the bike.

Hi jeff, welcome to the clinic, Is it worth it? I don't know, Yamama claims you can get up to 83% more HP and torque..take a look at their graphs..http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/accessories/acscgroupdetail/5/18/91/2330/all/1/9/groupdetail.aspx They have a few additional items most importantly IMHO, the heads.. but this is a ton of money... you could probably buy an M 109 or something by the time its over.. I guess it just depends on how much you want to pay for HP.. Also, it will probably have some drivability problems on the street like idleing at about 40mph. etc, etc.

Welcome to the clinic Jeff. Or maybe trade it in for a Warrior (or even better, a VMax!).

Yeah, he could go M109R, or Warrior, or even V-max. But none of those would bring the kind of satisfaction a "hopped Up" Roadstar would bring when leaving the other guy in the dust. It's expected from those other bikes, not from a "slow" Roadie. My opinion. BB
