Thanks guys...just so I'm clear - Papatom, you're idling for 2-3 minutes w/the choke 1/2 out? And Curt - it's taking 15 minutes at idle to warm up? That is going to take some getting used to...
Right. Just idling. Don't rev it up.

Just my opinion, but I would never idle my bike for 15 minutes. I pull out the enricher, start the bike, and after about 1 minute push it in 1/2 and take off. Now I don't get on it hard for a few minutes, but I do want those rpms above idle for the warmup.

I would rather be on my bike thinking about God, than sitting in church thinking about my bike.

If I had to wait 15 minutes for the bike to warm up I'd forget where and why I was going in the first place.
I push mine out of the garage, start it, walk back into the garage and put my helmet and gloves on then get on and go. Usually run a mile or so down the road and push in the choke knob. Ten to fifteen minute warm up is preposterous.

ClubManJoe, Welcome to the clinic. Yours is an 07, you got your break-in miles out of the way before converting to synthetic? If you don't , wait till your 600 mile service, to do so , so the motor will be good and broken in. Synthetic too early can cause problems.
With my bike (mildly modified) , I pull the choke full out, leave it for about 10-15 seconds. 1/2 choke for about 1-2 minutes depending on the temp. A good blip or two, choke in, and I'm off. 10,000 + miles, works good so far. 2 cents, BB.

my 07 has been i the shop (now) 4 times. the dealer tells me that my 15 min warm up is normal, but it pops thru the intake ,sputters then after 1 1/2 miles it runs great........ but now the service manager tells me that the factory oil level 4.3 qts. is to much ,that it should be 3.5 qts..........which caused the valves to carbon up and now thier going to rebuild the top end.................after market parts are hypercharger and krome works 3 1/2 in long guns
