Thanks much for Info

I run mine for about 5,000-6,000 Km (3-4 K miles) in my case the whole season. I find after this time it's on the dark side.

I have a buddy who runs for two seasons and swears by it. He easily does twice what I do mileage-wise in a season. He's an ex-mechanic (still repairs bikes as a sideline) and I trust his advice but .... we all do what we must do.

In my automobiles I run them for about 10,000 km (6 K miles) with the oil change done in late fall. The oil appears about the same colour as the bike at that time.

Read through some of the links on oil I've provided in other posts. In the end you need to do with what you're most comfortable.

Hi,
There are conditions where..IMHO a syn oil is a "requirement"..and there are conditions where its just an added "feature"...sometimes it just gives the user a "warm and fuzzy feeling" and money wasted when changed out like regular dino .

Personnally i am one to use synthetic oil for as long as possible, i run synthetic oil for min 15,000kms in the US 10,000miles is reasonable regardless of the time its in there, even over winter .

Synthetic oil is expensive, the additives in synthetic will outlast and continue to perform way past any of the recommended mfg oil change intervals, however changing the oil filter at this point should be done .

I been saying this for years and now even Harley has recently extended its oil intervals for synthetics, about time oil is not a renewable resource.

Its a matter of personnel choice cause if u can afford a nice bike the cost of an oil change is not an issue, its whether your doing it for the "warm fuzzy feeling" or getting your money's worth with respect for the environment, either way your engine won't notice the difference.
