Diagnoses - gas getting in my oil. Was going to Iowa this weekend. Be working on the bike instead.

I'm guessing the float has went out of whack or the needle / seat craped out. I could limp it by turning off the petcock when I shut it down I suppose but I can't let something like this go. It would just bug the hell out of me the whole weekend.

I completely understand where you are coming from Musky. But since you can do carb work with your eyes closed (your words,not mine), Why not try and clean the bowl ,check the needle and seat, and if that corrects your problem, get that oil changed and go! You could very possibly just have a small piece on trash holding the N/S open. Worth a shot. Besides, the clinic will keep going even if you need an hour or three to work on your scoot.
