Is it possible to strip the leather of the stratoliner bags so you get the looks of the Deluxe bags?? And do you have to repaint them or is a good polish enough?? Senior Boarder Posts: 329 Re:Stratoliner bags without leather??? 7 Months, 2 Weeks ago   You can strip the leather off the bags but expect to do a lot of body work to clean them up. Yamaha uses a LOT of glue to hold the leather on for years at freeway speeds & varying temperatures. It's not a simple pull & buff/paint kind of job. They are gonna look like ass when you first get the leather off.
