HEY GUYS THIS IS MY FIRST TIME RESPONDING BASICALLY BECAUSE I DON,T KNOW MUCH ABOUT IT.A WHILE BACK WHEN READIND ABOUT REMOVING THE PUMP I BELIEVE I READ THAT IT WAS NOT INTIRELY NECCESSARY TO PUT IN THE NEW FLOAT NEEDLE VALVE.RIGHT NOW MY ROADIE IS IN PIECES AND IT WOULD BE NICE TO GET IT UP WITHOUT THE ADDITION COST. THINK YOU COULD SHED SOME LIGHT ON THE SUBJECT. I HAVE A HYPER CHARGER INTAKE WITH A DYNA3000 AND THE CARBS HAVE BEEN JETTED FOR THE DYNA BUT NOT FOR THE STRAIGHT PIPES I HAVE ON IT.NO AIS EITHER,HOPE THIS IS ENOUGH INFO. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK THIS BY FAR IS MY FAVORITE WEBSITE I HOPE THIS IS WHERE I WAS SUPOSED TO ASK THE ?.

You can try it without the needle valve but it's a hit or miss whether it will work for you.

As for the carb ...... for the Hyper and pipes I'd recommend you go with the Mikuni 170 main jet, the PMS at 2.5 - 3 turns out, stock main and needle clip at the 5th slot from the top (blund end). Check out the WOT article in the Tech Articles tab at the top of this website for how to test the main.

You can use a Dyna jet kit but start with the 180 main.

Once you have the correct main you can set the needle clip to the 4th slot and test.
