I laid mine down factory new everything intact. GAS leaked out the top of the tank like mad.

It was then I decided venting the tank and removing the rollover valve would be no difference.

Fill your tank and lay it down to see for yourself.

When mine was removed, it was gummed up pretty good. Probably as a result from all the EPA additives.
