do i have to fully disasemble the forks?? 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago  
to get the dampening rod out of my forks or will i slide out the tube when i unbolt it from the bottom??

It'll slide out when you unbolt it....

thank gawd and thank you just got the progressive springs in and they said to take the whole assembly out (each model may differ) i just wanted to make sure before i got started

what is the torque spec on the dampening rod bolt??

I had to devise a rod to get the dampening rod out, took a rod and wrapped with tape so I could get it to wedge in the rod like a cork and pulled it out.

I goter done. Took me about 35 minutes, mind you the forks where off anyhow. So now im 2" lower with progressive lowering springs and fresh 7wt fork oil. I will post a few pics when I get home kids got good grades on there report cards so we asked them what they wanted as a reward so im at chuck-e-cheese's right now.
