What is that knob? 5 Months, 1 Week ago  
Ok, so I picked up my 05 1700 over the weekend and have been scoping it out, well i noticed this knob looking device located on the right side of the bike just under the air clearn. Can somebody please tell me what that is?

The one that is down in the bottom of the V is the idle speed adjustment knob. Clockwise increase counter clockwise decrease. If you don't have an owners manual go to my site and click the projects button and scroll to the bottom of the second page and download the owners manual PDF file. BTW

Hmm, guess I need to get back into the carburator world.... I was pretty good though while I waited for the responses, I wanted to touch it sooooo badly......

Grab a hold of it while you unbolt the stock carb and throw it away. Then bolt on a Mikuni HSR42 and drive away happy forever.

I was told it is the idle adjustment. Usually tucked up so you can't see it but if you have aftermarket air filter (mine is K&N Eflo) then this line with a knob on the end kinda sticks out.....
