#446937 tony58 (User) Fresh Boarder Posts: 23 Are Roadstars SUPER cold natured? 5 Months ago   Got a 2005 Midnight.Are these really cold natured?I hadn't started this one since June 2011.It started up and ran good with on or half on.My question is at 40 degrees how long will it have to run without any choke?Are Roadstars SUPER cold natured? I don't consider it a bad trade off for what is usually a pretty close tolerance engine considering their lifespan. Moderator Posts: 2051 Re:Are Roadstars SUPER cold natured? 5 Months ago   I always need the choke even in the summer on the first start of the day. Winter, sometimes every start. I only need it for about a min. in the summer and even then it's usually only half-choke once is fires up. In winter the choke goes out all the way to start, then after about a min. it goes half way in, then after about a mile of riding I shove it all the way home. Just behind the Choke (pull)Knob is a Tension adjuster. NOT the plastic Hex Nut! Turn it clockwise a little at a time until the choke still works smoothly but doesn't suck back in before you push it in.
