Cold weather, choke out for about 30-45 seconds, then half out for a mile...then enjoy

my 2000 r* doesn't seem to need the choke much. in cold weather (it was 36deg today), i just start it and let it idle for 4-5 minutes without a choke and go out. it might die once or twice and i might have to apply some throttle for 5-10 seconds before i leave it idling. but, other than that, it seems ok without choking. my choke knob needs to be adjusted too ... it won't "stick", i have to hold it out. anyway, not too cold blooded here.

My 03 is cold as ice. Even in 90 degree weather she's cold. Watch out re turning the idle screw up. It will prob need to be turned down agahin after its warmed up.
