I bought one of these about 2 years ago and have never had a traffic signal not detect my R* since.
When riding home at night I use to automatically turn right at the red lights, do a U turn and then turn right to continue on my way, making a left turn was work...
With this spot tied to the front lower part of my frame the lights work.
