I found a 1978 xs fender, that was alot cheaper than the later on models that continuously make clattering noise and eventually all break down, the 1978 version was alot slimmer, but was easily coached into place..

Light welded mine inside then extended the subframe all the way to the tip. Overkill? Yup but no more wag. GP

I got the rear fender blues too,and going to try the aluminum stiffeners with the truck bed liner thing...I think about six or seven coats should do it? any suggestions....(I use to work in the oilfields of south Texas,there was a term that may come in handy about now....."plug and abandon."

I got the number to Hallaburttion concrete if you need it? L.O.L. Look in the tech.articles about the rear fender wag.a.k.a. body/sheet metal.

I have to resurect this. I was googling to find the fix for the rear fender, saw this link, and was like "That's not it, but i bet there's a link to the repair guide". Read the post, and laughed out loud, the people around me started looking funny... Cheers!

I had the same problem a couple years ago and searched the tech articles and found this and reinforced both sides and a little dab of paint (same color) and it has been holding out.check it out this should help http://roadstarclinic.com/content/view/79/94/
