Looking for recommendations. Planning to replace the clutch plates along with the friction plates.

i dont think you can get any better than the barnett sr-2. but you can go cheaper and stay with stock or double them up to get a stronger hold. but from what i hear the barnett will be better than anything else out there. i have one on order  |

What is the price difference
From what I have read on here the stock clutch pack is very good. It's the clutch spring that is junk
Having said that I plan on using the barnett clutch spring on the stock clutch pack

+1 thats what I hear too.
Docv if all you want is the stock spring I have a barnett sr-2 on order if you can wait about 2 weeks I will sell you mine for cheap. It has 10k on it. What do you say for $20 shiped, as long as you live in the states.

Looks like Doc V is asking about clutch plates not the spring plate, I would stay stock as others have said.

Twotone in the tech articals look up the barnett clutch spring thread and you will see the before with the stock spring and the after with the barnett sr-2 spring

I went with the Barnett spring plate/ Yami clutch plates. Talk about grabbing. For my money, there is not a better set-up. Unless you are a bodybuilder or have hands bigger than King Kong, I would NOT consider up grading to the heaver springs. The stock ones that come with the plate are more than good enough.
